In the fast-paced world of construction and development, time is often of the essence. Facing a tight deadline of just 7 working days, Jurukur Perunding (JP) found themselves in need of a scanning solution for an aging building in Subang Jaya destined for transformation into a new development.

Embracing the challenge, JP turned to the Trimble X7 laser scanner, drawn by its touted capabilities of automated cloud registration and its potential to accelerate both field acquisition and office processing. Little did they know that this decision would not only save precious time but also redefine their approach to site evaluations and measurements.

JP’s journey with the Trimble X7 began with the realization of its remarkable capabilities. Equipped with three battery sets, they found that only two were necessary for the entire project. When asked about the most outstanding feature, Mr Aidil, the Assistant Operation Manager for this project emphasized, “It will definitely be the auto registration feature.” This function alone is definitely a time-saving marvel that significantly reduced the time between scan positions. Astoundingly, JP managed to complete a total of 140 scan positions in just seven hours, with each scan station taking a mere three minutes. The auto registration feature boasted an impressive success rate of 98%, providing JP with a level of efficiency they had not thought possible.
